Bread is difficult to ship and retain its freshness but not impossible! In order to ship this loaf of bread we allow it to cool once it is out of the oven. Once the bread has properly cooled, we wrap it in plastic wrap and then again in aluminum foil twice over. The goal here is to minimalize air flow to prevent staleness/spoilage. Once the loaf of bread is securely wrapped, we freeze it. After the bread is completely frozen we place the bread in the shipping box and surround it with packaging material such as newspaper cuttings to insulate and keep cold during shipping. Depending on the season we will include ice packs which are yours to keep as well!
Once you receive the product, we recommend you cut into slices and warm in the microwave for 17-19 seconds and immediately enjoy. Otherwise, if you wish to enjoy later, this will last about 2-3 months in the freezer. If you need to defrost the bread, place in the fridge overnight to enjoy the next morning.
In order to ensure optimal quality and freshness in our products upon delivery we only ship orders out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We will occasionally ship orders out on Thursday IF we can confirm with our shipping partners that your order will be delivered no later than Saturday as we would hate for your baked goods to be sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. We ship from the Bronx in NYC.
